Disclaimer, Terms & Conditions Of Carriage

In purchasing or booking a ticket, all passengers agree to the following terms and conditions:

General: The passengers shall comply with the instructions of the company’s staff concerning all matters relating to the service and shall comply with any notice displayed on the vessel. The company reserves the right to refuse to carry any passenger or goods without assigning reason. This contract is subject to the laws of Indonesia and may only be varied by agreement in writing between the company and the passenger. Verbal promises by booking agents or their staff will not be recognised by the company.

Cancellation & Delays: Gili Getaway endeavour to transport all customers to their destinations at stated times. All travel itineraries are subject to weather conditions.

Gili Getaway reserves the right to change and/or cancel schedules in the interest of passenger’s safety and well-being.”

The company reserves the right to vary the service in any whatsoever without any liability to the passenger. The company shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury which may arise in the event of cancellation or delay of the service. The company shall not be liable in any way for the cost of any accommodation or of any alternative means of travel/flights which may arise through cancellation or delays. Any additional expense so arising shall be the sole liability and responsibility of the passenger.

Refunds by the Company: In the event of a trip cancellation by the company, the company shall refund any amounts paid by the passenger direct to the company, or any funds already paid by an agent to the company on the passenger’s behalf. The passenger is responsible for collecting any funds paid to agents which have not yet been paid to the company.

The full ticket price will be charged for any cancellation less than 1 days before prior guest.

From 2 to 7 days, a 50% refund.

Longer than 7 Days, no charge.”,

“Re-Scheduling Trip: Re-scheduling is based on seat availability and if made prior to 48 hours before guest departure for regular season, and 96 hours prior to guest departure for high season there is no charge, (1 Jul – 30 Sept). Otherwise, a Rp100,000 fee per ticket will be charged.”,

Cancellations and Changes by the Passenger: In the event of a ticket or booking being cancelled by the passenger, the company reserves the right to charge cancellation fees as above stated policy and dates

Baggage Allowance: Each Passenger is entitled to a maximum of 1 piece of luggage carried free of charge, not exceeding 25 kg. If capacity is available, then excess luggage will be carried at the company’s standard rates or may be stored at the company’s office in Bali if space is available. The company reserves the right to check the contents of any baggage, and to refuse certain baggage items.

The company accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to luggage during storage or transit.

Road transportation to Bali: Road transportation to/from Serangan harbour is provided free of charge to/from ONE SPECIFIC ADDRESS in designated areas of Bali. This address must be specified at the time of booking and cannot be changed. Our drivers will only take passengers to this pre-specified address (i.e. they will not drive around trying to find a hotel if the passenger has not specified an address). Additional charge is applied to some areas. Price will be quoted upon booking enquiry.

At certain times of the year, Sea conditions can turn extremely bad and all fast boats can be cancelled by the authorities. Gili Getaway will FULLY REFUND ALL TICKETS that are affected by this situation. We will not attempt to offer alternative forms of transportation as the alternatives can and do come up short of Getaway guest’s expectations of reliability, thoroughness and professionalism. Flights are often fully booked and the “Very Slow Ferry” is not something we would recommend.

Also, during low season months, we may change schedules due to weather, occupancy and/or demand.

Due to the increasingly serious worldwide problem of plastic pollution and other rubbish in our oceans, Gili Getaway will no longer be supporting the use of plastic, hence we won’t be offering bottled water onboard. 

However please feel free to bring your own bottles which can be refilled free of charge in our offices on Gili Trawangan, Gili Gede and in Bali.

If you don’t have a water bottle, we will be selling 500 ml non-plastic bottles with proceeds going to the “Clean the Gilis “program, of which we are an active participant.

We hope you will work with us at Gili Getaway in fighting this battle against plastic pollution as we work towards cleaning our waters and saving our aquatic flora and fauna.
